Thinking about Pluggedout Blog

A few years ago Pluggedout was popular, not as a blogging site but as the home of an open source development project known as Pluggedout Blog.

This was a time when wordpress did not have quite the market share it does today and pluggedout was at least to me, a shining beacon of a well thought out application. I loved it’s look, it’s simplicity, the templating engine - pretty much everything about it.

Racing around Google Maps with Real world racer

Many years ago I was insistant that it would be great to have a racing game where you choose your start and finish on a real map and thats the route you race (it would also have live traffic to avoid from satelite).

This idea became more of a reality with Metropolis Street Racer on the Sega Dreamcast, it allowed you to drive around a few of the worlds capital citys, if you completed it
